Madeleine “Maddie” Pittman accepted a position at Lorena UMC in Spring of 2019 and now serves as our Director of Children's Ministries. As the daughter of a Methodist pastor, Maddie has always been “on the move” all over the great state of Texas. She feels like her experiences in places like Quinlan, Rowlett, Garland, Irving, Dallas, Italy, Hillsboro, San Marcos and Waco, have blessed her with lifetime friendships, great teachers and mentors along the way. Maddie has been, and continues to be, active in the Central Texas Conference in a variety of roles and as a member of boards and committees. Maddie has served on the Central Texas Conference Council on Youth Ministry since high school.
In addition to the valuable lessons she learned outside the home, Maddie’s family fostered over 40 children while she was growing up. From this unique and amazing experience, she learned to nurture and care for children from every walk of life from a very young age resulting in a love and deep compassion for children and young people.
Maddie currently attends McClennan Community College pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in 4th-8th Grade ELAR from Texas Tech University. In addition to her work at Lorena UMC, she also serves as a substitute teacher in Lorena ISD.
Maddie enjoys photography, music, crafting and all things Disney. Maddie is passionate in her ministry about helping kids and youth know that they are loved and cherished by God and in facilitating their spiritual growth.
